In the evening of December 5th, 2009, a reception was held at the Best Western, Steglitz, Berlin, for Thai community in Berlin and the surrounded areas on the auspicious occasion of the 82nd Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Approximately 600 Thai people attended the reception.
H.E. Mr. Charivat Santaputra, Ambassador, addressed to the Thai people and hopes to see the Thai communities be strong, having self-reliance and caring society, living in Germany with dignity, and help to promote Thai-German relations. Apart from ceremony, the celebration included Thai foods, Thai music, Thai dancing and shows performed by Thai children who grown up in Germany.
