Non-immigrant visas
Validity of visa
- The single entry visa must be utilized within 90 days from the date of issuance.
- Multiple entries must be used within 1 year from the date of issuance.
Period of stay in Thailand
- When entering Thailand within the given time frame, the immigration officer at the entry point will grant a 90-day stay. This is the initial period of stay for this type of visa. For an extension of stay beyond 90 days, application must be made at an Immigration Bureau.
Tourist visas
Validity of visa
- The single entry visa must be utilized within 3 months from the date of issuance.
- Double or more entries must be used within 6 months from the date issued.
Period of stay in Thailand
- To obtain a tourist visa the procedure is the same as for a non-immigrant visa, except that upon entry a stay of 60 days will be granted. For passport holders of most countries, this visa can be extended 1 time only with maximum of 30 days at an Immigration Bureau.. Holders of this type of visa may not be gainfully employed in Thailand.
Transit visas
Validity of visa
- The single entry visa must be utilized within 3 months from the date of issuance.
- Double or more entries must be used within 6 months from the date issued.
Period of stay in Thailand
- Category "S" Sport: This type of visa is for sport players who participate in an international game in Thailand. The procedure is the same as for a tourist visa, except that the duration of stay is 30 days.
- Category "TS" Transit: This type of visa is for transit traveller only. The procedure is the same as for a tourist visa, except that the duration of stay is 30 days. Holders of this type of visa may not be gainfully employed in Thailand.
Visas Exempted Countries

- For passport holders of tourist visa exempted countries
To obtain a tourist visa , the procedure is the same as for a non-immigrant visa, except that upon entry a stay of 60 days will be granted. For passport holders of most countries, this visa can be extended 1 time only with maximum of 30 days at an Immigration Bureau.. Holders of this type of visa may not be gainfully employed in Thailand
- For passport holders of the other countries
To obtain a tourist visa , the procedure is the same as for a non-immigrant visa, except that upon entry a stay of 3 0 days will be granted. F or passport holders of most countries , this visa can be extended 2 time s within 30 days a time at an Immigration Bureau . And that total period of stay must be within 9 0 days from first entry date . Holders of this type of visa may not be gainfully employed in Thailand
